About the game:
Payday 2 is a cooperative first-person shooter video game by Overkill Software.
It involves the player and their team performing bank heists and robberies.
Gameplay is heavily improved and expanded since its predecessor, with a number of new abilities.
Payday 2, while very much the same as the original in base gameplay, looks to improve on a number of flaws from the previous games in that it is a sharper and more polished experience.
For instance, gun combat is improved, and the stealth mechanic from the previous game is given a larger emphasis, possibly making it a viable option in most of the 30 heists, though some are action-oriented from the beginning.
Depending both on a player's course of action, or a little luck in the random generation, the next phase may result in a different level altogether or possibly skipped entirely......

The answer is no btw, no LAN multiplayer. Requires internet to play online, someone please crack this for LAN play! I'll love you 5ever.

Speaking as a beta tester, if someone among you can find a way (ideally by editing renderer_settings.xml) to change FOV, remove depth of field, and/or remove the "3d glasses" effect on colors - we'd all be in your debt.

@death1223 Not sure if multiplayer works yet but they do have a patch on their website for the game that says it makes the beta fully work, could give that a try.

Ok so I downloaded it. I launch the the first .exe but nothing happens. My computer gets slow and i have to reset my pc to close the process

To clarify when I say it doesn't work in my previous comments, I'm talking about multiplayer.

100% working. Like shauwy1978 says, single player is hard due to AI. This will be amazing once multi-player is cracked.
Guys I'm warning you now this game is almost impossible with the damn bot ai. I want to like the game because its a huge improvement over the first and is really fun but I am stuck. I beat one easy level 1 star jewelry heist and lose the next 2 heists losing all my money and having to start all over in a continuous loop. It sucks because I really want to like this game but with me constantly loosing all my money and not being able to buy weapons and skills kills the experience. They are forcing you to have people online.
yes, multiplayer works but is tricky as hell to do it.

2. download and apply beta update 1
3. download steam, install and then download greenluma and install
4. copy the crack from beta update 1
5. search on google payday 2 tunngle, go on forum and download the files from the link, apply them in the game directory.
6. start greenluma as admin, login and launch payday 2.

I can't seem to get the game to run. Can someone help me? When attempting to run the game it comes up with a window that says "Not subscribed(do not own the game ). Buy ?!"

yes it works, around 400 players on the fake crimenet compared to 6000 the real one has.
i tested it with the other version, RG Pirats Games, but it should also work with this one, the RG Pirats Games version was a little hard to update since there were different install locations.
after you installed the game and the update and applied the files from tunngle you need to start greenluma and launch payday 2 and wait for all 4 steps, then you will be in the game.
if you will get to the original crimenet that has a lot of players exit the game and add the .exe of the game as non steam game and then launch it again to access the fake crimenet.

this version might not work since, i tested it with rg pirats version, anyway..
0. make sure you have steam installed (do not log in while you install payday)
1. install the game ( it will take some time, might look like it's blocked but just wait) - the install folder must be in the steam folder, will look like this - Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonPAYDAY 2 Beta
2. install the update : PAYDAY.2.Beta.Update.1-FTS , make sure that the autorun window will confirm that the game was updated (change folder of installing the update to Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommon )
3. copy the files from the crack dir of the update (PAYDAY.2.Beta.Update.1-FTS) to Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonPAYDAY 2 Beta

yeah, cloud6625!!!! i agree!! is anyone actually doing well (earning cash and xp, finishing multiple jobs) using AI bots only?? or is it impossible like the user i mentioned says??? tending to agree with earlier comment - they seem to make it multiplayer mainly (like global ops)?!

If you use cheat engine to give yourself at least 576 skill points and enough money to spend them, you can max out all four skill trees and practically become a one man army. It'll help a lot if you're playing single player.

I get a "no license" error when I try to install the beta on greenluma. Anyone got past this?
@Timbo6669 when you go to the nosteam site if you don't have an adblocker you get 10 pop up browsers with 10 commercials playing at once. Way too many ads. I don't mind a few but when it overwhelms you to the point that your clicking and clicking and spend more time clicking shit to get shit off your screen to even see it, it has to go away.
Whats wrong with using an ad blocker? ta for the info but..2 be honest it wouldn't stop me going to his site? THe essence of his work being the bypass of the steam bullshit so everyone can enjoy the tech and ideas involved with gaming.. Not just ppl with privileged backgrounds loaded with money..The spirit of it is far away from placing a few ads (or several) here and there.....Made NoSteam more popular with me at this poiint..:-)

I don't now why but the game, on my pc, which is actually pretty good to run payday2 wasn't running that great, even with the lowest graphics. Other wise, the game looks pretty cool, and totally fine to play with other friends.
